 Available Positions by Cadre

Here is a breakdown of job roles and qualifications required under each cadre:

1. Superintendent Cadre

  • Superintendent of Corrections (Medical): MBBS Degree holders (for NCoS only)
  • Assistant Superintendent I (CONPASS 09): Law graduates and Engineering graduates (especially for Fire Service)
  • Assistant Superintendent II (CONPASS 08): Bachelor’s degree or HND in any relevant field (All services)

2. Inspectorate Cadre

  • Senior Inspector (CONPASS 08): Registered Nurses or Midwives (for NSCDC, FFS, and NCoS)
  • Inspector (CONPASS 07): NCE or ND in relevant disciplines

3. Assistant Cadre

  • Assistant Inspector (CONPASS 06): O’Level holders with relevant trade certificates or technical qualifications
  • Corps Assistant III (CONPASS 03): 5 credit passes in O’Level exams including Mathematics and English
  • Drivers, Mechanics, Artisans: Must possess trade test certificates or licenses
