About the Role – Freelance Assets Illustrator
As part of the Fire Spike animation team, you’ll create vibrant illustrations for props, backgrounds, characters, and other visual elements in a cartoon style tailored for preschool audiences. Fire Spike has already achieved remarkable success, with 60+ episodes produced in 7 languages and over 150 million organic views in 2024 alone.
Key Responsibilities
- Design high-quality illustrations for props, backgrounds, and characters.
- Follow predetermined art styles and visual guidelines.
- Create logical 3D turnarounds from 2D drawings.
- Work with vector-based tools like Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
- Ensure visual consistency across all assets.
- Collaborate effectively with an international remote team.
- Adapt to feedback quickly in a fast-paced creative environment.
- Prepare artwork optimized for cut-out animation.
Requirements
- Proven experience illustrating for children’s content (kindergarten/pre-school preferred).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- High visual memory and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
- Ability to follow a set art style and adapt to creative feedback.
- Knowledge of cut-out animation techniques.
- English proficiency.
