Youth Confab 2025: FG Launches Official Website for National Youth Dialogue

The Federal Government of Nigeria has officially launched the National Youth Conference 2025—a nationwide conversation designed to empower young Nigerians to directly shape the country’s future. With the unveiling of a new online platform, the government is opening the door for youth across all 360 federal constituencies—and beyond—to participate.

The official portal is now live at 👉 https://nationalyouthconfab.gov.ng

What Is the National Youth Confab?

The Youth Confab is a 30-day national engagement platform centered around the theme:
“Next-Gen Nigeria: Crafting Solutions, Owning the Future.”

Initiated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the conference is a first-of-its-kind initiative led by the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, with the goal of ensuring Nigerian youth are not just heard, but meaningfully involved in shaping national policy.

“This Is a Turning Point” – Minister Ayodele Olawande

Speaking during the portal launch in Abuja, the Honourable Minister of State for Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, described the project as more than just a conference—it’s a movement.

“This isn’t just a youth event. It’s a generational turning point. It’s about transparency, inclusivity, and true youth ownership of Nigeria’s future.”

 Who Can Participate?

This national dialogue is designed to be inclusive, non-partisan, and youth-led. Here’s what participation looks like:

  • 36,000 youth delegates will be selected:
    • 100 participants from each federal constituency
    • Plus Nigerian youth living abroad (diaspora)
  • Participation is open to:
    • Youth between 18 and 35 years old
    • Students, creatives, artisans, entrepreneurs, persons with disabilities, and more
    • Gender balance and minority inclusion will be prioritized

  3. Zonal Consultations (regional harmonization)
  4. National Conference in Abuja (final policy drafting)

 Key Focus Areas

The conversation will revolve around six major pillars:

  1. Governance & Political Participation
  2. Economic Transformation & Job Creation
  3. Education & Skill Development
  4. Technology & Innovation
  5. Climate Change & Energy Transition
  6. Social Inclusion & National Security

Each participant will have the opportunity to contribute ideas, share experiences, and submit policy proposals related to these themes.

 Common Mistakes to Avoid

Before applying, here are some common errors to watch out for:

  • Submitting incomplete applications – Fill out every section properly.
  • Missing the deadline – Submit before the June 30 cutoff.
  • Ignoring the key themes – Make sure your ideas align with the six focus pillars.
  • Being generic – Share your story, be specific, and suggest real solutions.
  • Thinking your voice doesn’t matter – It absolutely does. This platform is built for you.

 Final Thoughts: Nigeria Needs You

This isn’t just a government formality—it’s a genuine opportunity for Nigerian youth to sit at the table where national decisions are made. Whether you’re a student in Sokoto, a coder in Lagos, an artist in Port Harcourt, or a diaspora voice in London, your ideas matter.

This is your moment to speak up, show up, and help design the Nigeria you want to live in.
